Kat Schuknecht, CPD (CAPPA)

Adoption, Antepartum, and Postpartum Doula; Founder of MAPS

Kat Schuknecht is the owner of Your Village LLC. As a certified antepartum and postpartum doula specializing in parental mental health, Kat works to support parents before birth through the first year of parenthood. Whether it’s helping an adoptive family prepare their hearts and home for its first child, lending a hand to a family already juggling the needs of three children, providing physical support to a surrogate mother recovering from birth, or spending time with a mama struggling with postpartum anxiety, Kat is there to help.

Along with doula support, Kat also facilitates Madison’s local Becoming Us Parent Program and MAPS’ (Madison Area Parent Support) in-person and online support groups for local moms.

In 2018 she expanded her business to reach more members of the community. Your Village now provides community doula support to individuals recovering from surgery and major injury.
